Christmas Music-Themed Youth Camp

We are honored to participate in one afternoon of the Christmas Music Youth Camp 2025 and to be responsible for bringing an art activity to youth with autism and mild intellectual disability (SEN).

During our short time together, we had the opportunity to interact closely with our fellow campers and feel that they were willing to try, express themselves, and participate at their own pace in a safe and accepting environment.

This art activity was led by an art instructor with SEN teaching experience. The instructor guided the creation in a gentle and non-pressure-free manner according to the characteristics and state of each camper, allowing campers to express their emotions and build self-confidence through art, and feel respected and understood in the process.

For SEN youth, creation is not just about completing a piece of work, but a safe form of expression, a way of communication, and a process of getting to know and affirm themselves step by step.

We sincerely thank the organizers for the invitation, and also thank the mentors, group leaders and staff for their thoughtful arrangements, which allowed us to be one of the companions on this journey and witness these young people continue to grow through music and care.

We look forward to more opportunities in the future to meet SEN youth again at different stages of their lives through art and companionship.
